Strength training is vital to the success of the football program. Strength training is used in the off-season to develop the size, strength, and speed of our players. During the season, strength training is used to maintain our players in peak physical condition and minimize injuries.
The basic excerises in the Spencerport Rangers strength training program are bench press, squat, clean, and dead lift. Players weighing less than 175 lb who achieve a total weight lifted of 1,000 lb in these four excercises will earn membership in the 1,000 lb Club. Players weighing 175 lb or greater who achieve a total weight lifted of 1,200 lb in these four excercises earn membership in the 1,200 lb Club. Club members will receive t-shirts in recognition their accomplishments. |
